Autumn is my favourite season by far! I know it is a favourite for many of you too.
As the mountains of Glencoe and Lochaber turn to bronze and the leaves turn to various shades of orange, red and yellow it is a stunning backdrop for weddings not to mention life in Lochaber.
On a clear Autumn day, all the colours shine and if I get a chance I will take my work outside. Flower arranging with the mountains in view is definitely a perk of the job and my location in Glencoe, near Fort William.
I know my customers love the changing seasons here too.
For wedding couples, having an autumnal wedding or elopement in the Highlands, the bouquets and wedding flowers can really reflect those beautiful colours and wild romance.
For my local customers who live throughout Lochaber, Fort William, and now including Drumnadrochit, Lochend- and Appin and Oban too... I understand why an Autumnal bouquet is so popular.
The reds, oranges, gold, berries and leaves- have such a warmness about them. Its a pleasure to make beautiful bunches of such pretty colours and textures, then send them off on their journeys, delivered to all the corners of Lochaber.
I have got to know my local delivery drivers from HM Parcels so well now, and I do enjoy filling up their delivery vans with flowers.
For me Autumn is flowers and the beauty of the mountains and forests as they turn all shades of red and yellow... walks in the woods or by the beach - my dogs love the Autumn days too- cosy nights and increasingly chilly very early mornings.
Fingers crossed for no winds which steal the leaves away too soon...
